Welcome to the parish website

The separate villages of Barkestone, Plungar & Redmile were grouped into one parish in 1936. The three small villages, with a combined adult population of 650, are set geographically in the Vale of Belvoir and administratively in Leicestershire and the Borough of Melton. Overlooked by Belvoir Castle, home of the Duke of Rutland the villages are linked by the disused Grantham canal.
